Wednesday. 2nd day of Paediatrics. Did a full ward round today with the main paediatric consultant, Dr Lorenz who is from Germany. A lot of malaria patients again, also pneumonia, gastroenteritis, etc. He is great because he involved us a lot, got us to do prescribing, creating management plans, and writing in the notes. Really good experience.
Had a relaxing afternoon, but went to buy groceries from the market for cooking dinner with, and it pelted down with rain on the way home so I got completely soaked. My clothes got really muddy too from the splashes from the muddy ground. Spent a long time washing it off my white shirt, and its not perfect.
Made spaghetti for dinner, it was delicious. Played a few rounds of poker, and the electricity went out. Visited the nursing school next door and made some new nursing student friends, we played uno for a while then came home for bed.
